I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
